The MoU between the NDRI and the Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur

A joint cooperation memorandum was concluded between the Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL), Malaysia, and the NDRI.

According to the public relations office of the Natural Disasters Research Institute (NDRI), a joint cooperation memorandum was concluded between the Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL), Malaysia, and the NDRI.

The purpose of this MoU, which was signed by Lenny Chong Ther Zern, the executive director of the IUKL, and AmirHossein Garakani, the head of the NDRI, is to develop scientific, educational, research, and technical cooperation and interactions between the university and the research institute in order to use scientific and technical capabilities, experience, facilities and expertise of the two sides have been mentioned, especially in infrastructure matters.

This memorandum’s main topics and axes include cooperation in flood risk assessment, risk reduction methodologies, transfer of technology related to water hazard risk management, transfer of early warning system experiences, planning for joint flood preparation and response maneuvers, and holding webinars and workshops.
