The online meeting of “disaster risk management of Cultural heritage” was held

The online meeting of “disaster risk management of Cultural heritage ” was held with the effort of Natural Disasters Research Institute and UNESCO chair on Natural Disasters Management with the presence of more than 350 participants from authorities, professors and followers of this field on 31st of December 2021.
 

According to the public relations of Natural Disasters Research Institute, the 18th session of the specialized sessions in the field of disaster management, on the occasion of the 18th annual of Bam earthquake and earthquake safety day and disasters risk reduction with the subject of “disaster risk management of Cultural heritage ” with the effort of Natural Disasters Research Institute and UNESCO chair on Natural Disasters Management with the presence of more than 350 participants from authorities, professors and followers of this field from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on 31st of December 2021 .

In this session that was held online, Rohit Jigyasu, manager of the project of urban heritage unit, climate change and  disaster risk management in ICCROM; Doan Kim, the UNESCO chair holder of disaster risk management in Cultural heritage  and an associate professor of the Ritsumeikan University of Japan; Eskandar Mokhtari, the assistant professor of the Islamic Azad University and an associate member of ICOMOS; Malihe Norouzi, member of Strategic Board of Bam World Heritage Site and Mohammad Mahdi Javadian zade, managing director and chairman of the board of the Yazd regional water authority and supervisor of the International Center on Qanats and Historic Hydraulic structures discussed the different aspects surrounding the topic.

At the end of the session, there was an opportunity for answering participants’ questions, during which discussions took place on the issues raised.
It is worth mentioning that the participants who have attended at least half of the meeting in this webinar will be awarded a certificate of attendance. The certificates of this session are issued electronically and will be sent to the emails of the participants.
