The Vulnerable and Distressed Urban Areas research center has been founded in Natural Disasters Research Institute since 2021. This center has been established to prepare improvement and organizing plans in different social, financial, and physical aspects to increase the quality of life in vulnerable and distressed urban areas.
The center’s main activities include:
• Identification of vulnerable and distressed urban areas ;
• Studies on improving distressed and high risk urban areas and determining different intervention approaches.
