The MoU between the NDRI and Pavia University

In the meeting of the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Natural Disasters Research Institute (NDRI), Iran, and Pavia University, Italy.

According to the Public Relations Office of the NDRI, a meeting to commemorate International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction focused on increasing access to rapid warning systems was held by the NDRI and the UNESCO Chair on Natural Disasters Management on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the NDRI and Pavia University, Italy, at the meeting. Professor Roberto De Lotto, director of the University of Pavia's Urban Project Laboratory (UPLAB), presented UPLAB in a video message.

This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to provide a framework for joint scientific, educational, training, and technical cooperation and for creating and developing international cooperation. The Memorandum determines specific working arrangements between the Parties. It establishes a formal communication channel to effectively cooperate in matters of common interest in natural disaster management and risk reduction through territorial and planning strategies and actions as identified in this MoU.
